NEW ADMINISTRATION . YORK
The new scheme is an entrance block located at the forefront of the existing building strategically
placed between the two projecting wings in order to bridge the distance between the classrooms on either side.
The new extension accommodates administration rooms and a generous reception/ waiting area covering an area of 90 sqm.
The corridor, which links the two end wings of the existing building, is a glazed roof encapsulating the original entrance porches.
The existing school is a 2*grade listed building, located in a prominent location in York. It was designed by Walter Brierley in 1896
and is extremely grand in a vaguely gothic style.
